Joining Forces for a Cleaner Tomorrow: Ocean Blue Partners with Earth Breeze
We are thrilled to announce that this Earth Day marks the expansion of an innovative partnership between Ocean Blue and Earth Breeze to cleanup 1.5 million pounds of plastic and debris from our oceans and coastlines this year. This ambitious project not only underscores our commitment to the planet but also paves the way for a cleaner, healthier future for all living beings.
Through this partnership, we aim to harness the power of community engagement, innovative solutions, and sustainable practices to tackle the pressing environmental issue of ocean plastic pollution. We believe that by joining forces, we can amplify our impact and inspire others to take action in their communities.
Ocean Blue Project and Good Tide Make Waves for Plastic Free Seas
In 2022, Wyld and it’s newest brand, Good Tide, showed up on the scene to remove a staggering 150,000 pounds of plastic and debris. And in 2024, the leading cannabis edibles brand is supporting the removal of another 100,000 pounds from U.S. beaches and ocean bound waterways through ocean cleanup donations.
Wyld’s Pillars of Commitment serve as a guiding light for the company’s mission of creating meaningful impacts and enacting actionable change to benefit both people and the planet. And what is a more actionable change than directly funding ocean cleanup efforts?
In fact, the Good Tide brand is pledging to continue their wave of support for Ocean Blue to remove 100,000 for three consecutive years bringing the company’s total pledge of support to cleanup 450,000 total pounds through 2026.
The overall goal of this collaboration is to reduce the amount of microplastic and marine debris traveling to the Great Pacific Garbage Patch, a vast area in the Pacific Ocean where plastic waste accumulates. Through this cleanup effort, Ocean Blue and companies that help the environment, Wyld and the Good Tide brand, protect fragile ecosystems and preserve marine wildlife.
Patagonia’s Environmental Impact: A Strategic Partnership with Ocean Blue Project for Clean Water Initiatives
In a significant collaboration for clean water initiatives, Patagonia was one of the first companies that help the environment to join forces with Ocean Blue Project. In 2014, Ocean Blue became a Patagonia grantee to support stream restoration projects in Oregon and California.
The primary focus of this partnership was the preservation of wild rivers and urban streams, aiming to protect salmon and their ecosystems. Patagonia’s commitment to environmental responsibility extends beyond its renowned style and materials – the company has been actively giving back to impactful organizations since 1985 through initiatives like 1% for the Planet.
Through Patagonia’s World Trout Initiative, funding is provided to organizations offering impactful solutions for vulnerable salmon species. Geared towards clean water, Ocean Blue Project’s initiative, “Make A Wish, Save A Fish,” received support from Patagonia, contributing funds for the planting of native trees along Oregon streams. Until 2021, local volunteers, including students, actively engaged in planting trees, enhancing water quality in natural resource areas of the United States west coast.
Ocean Blue’s collaborative efforts with local youth involve growing native trees and shrubs, contributing to the certification of wildlife habitat areas. Supported by Patagonia, these initiatives helped combat erosion, lower temperatures, and improve overall river health. The partnership exemplifies Patagonia’s dedication to environmental causes and reinforces its presence in searches related to sustainable consumer goods.

The Ocean Blue Project (OBP) collaborates with Eko to fund plastic-eating fungi research led by retired NASA scientist Dr. Ken Cullings and OBP’s founding team. This project utilizes metagenomics to identify fungi strains, like the Acremonium fungus, capable of breaking down plastics.
Contributions support essential lab and field research, aiming to advance scalable bioremediation techniques. Campaigns focus on grassroots donations, with just $1 removing up to 5 pounds of plastic from the environment. This partnership strives to deploy fungi-based solutions globally, reducing plastic pollution with sustainable, nature-driven methods. Supporters directly fund transformative science for healthier oceans and ecosystems.

As the solution for ocean rehabilitation, we’re dedicated to restoring the health of our oceans, beginning with impactful beach cleanups. Achieving our goals requires collective effort, and with the support of communities, dedicated volunteers, and your participation, we can make a significant difference for our One World Ocean.
Committed to supporting various campaigns throughout the year, we especially honor National Cleanup Day, occurring every third Saturday in September. This nationwide initiative involves beach cleanups to foster cleaner and healthier oceans. Our mission is to elevate National Cleanup Day to National Cleanup Month. We invite you to be part of this movement by joining or initiating a cleanup in September. Your participation and support, whether through volunteering or donations, contribute to creating a profound impact on our oceans and environment.
